Fun with Blogger

While most advanced bloggers prefer wordpress because of its inherent hackability, with a few simple tweaks you can create wonderful sites with blogger. Unlike wordpress, you don't need a lot of html skills to improve the look of blogger. Its click-and-drag interface is for people who are scared of html and are pressed for time. The best thing is: it's absolutely free until you get rid of the "blogspot" on your web address and get your own .com domain. You can even monetize your blog by accepting ads from Amazon.com or Clickbank.com. Here are a few more reasons why blogger is your start up site:

1. Blogger is owned by Google - you no longer need to submit your new site to the google webmaster tools.
2. Easier to use - click and drag admin interface.
3. Cheaper domains - you can get rid of the "blogspot" and get your .com for only $10 per year directly from blogger.
4. It's a blog - so you no longer need to pay for web hosting and content management (CMS).
5. Hosted by google - what more could you ask for
6. More template designs are added every month

Finally, be careful with free building websites that offer beautiful templates and advanced functionality. When you upgrade and get your own domain to avoid their ads, you will have to pay anywhere from $75 to $275 per year at the least.

A few simple html codes that you can easily find on the net will make your blog appear more professional.
